Its easy to get to Old Town without driving
Take the San Diego Trolley to the Old Town Transit Station (Blue Line from downtown and Green Line from east county. Bus routes 8, 9, 10, 20 and 30 will take you to Old Town.
There is additional free parking at the Caltrans parking lot evenings and weekends. The parking lot is located on the north side of Taylor Street next to Padre Trail Inn and across from the Bazaar del Mundo.
