On Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Diane Powers’ vibrant Bazaar del Mundo Shops will host a Summer Pop-up shopping event for customers to find unique décor and entertainment offerings for the summer festivities.
Activities will include paper-flower crafting demonstrated by Teresita Garrido, creator of Teresita’s Flowers, and her daughter Xochitl, who will show the intricate technique passed down over three generations, with an opportunity for customers to make their own to take home (while supplies last). Bazaar del Mundo interior designers will also create special table displays featuring its Lazy Susans, baskets, Guatemalan linens and beautiful paper napkins and plates from Marimekko and other designers.
Customers will also enjoy:
- Hankie Pankie Aprons, one of Bazaar del Mundo Shops’ most popular items, these colorful Old Californian and Mexican-themed aprons, napkins and kitchen towels come in a variety of whimsical colors and designs
- Handmade vintage inspired Oilcloth Alley tablecloths and placements make outdoor (and indoor) dining a retro event, with original designs that are easy to clean while they make every event unique
- Finch & Fennel’s pantry showcases culinary creations including seasoning blends, rubs, sauces, jams and jellies to create show-stopping meals
- The wonderful succulent gardens built in traditional Mexican Talavera pots liven outdoor spaces in this collection by Kit Lynch
Customers will receive a raffle ticket upon entering the Shops’ courtyard with drawings happening every hour for a chance to win some prizes and stop by the neighboring Casa Guadalajara before to enjoy an authentic Mexican feast and take advantage of the “Feast & Shop” program offering a $10 coupon off a $50 purchase at the Shops with your meal.
