Tomorrow, Old Town San Diego State Historic Park will come alive with the vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors of Mexican heritage during our annual Fiestas Patrias celebration. From 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, we invite the community to experience a day full of cultural pride, history, and fun activities for all ages.
Step back in time with living history demonstrations that bring Old Town’s rich past to life, explore the intricate beauty of traditional Mexican crafts, and take a guided walking tour through the historic adobe structures of Old Town. As you enjoy the festivities, don’t miss the spectacular Folklorico dance performances by the talented Gift of Dance troupe, performing throughout the day.
Food lovers won’t want to miss the inaugural Old Town Guac’ Off, where the finest guacamole recipes will compete for the ultimate bragging rights. For just $1 per tasting, you can sample and cast your vote for the best guacamole in Old Town!
This family-friendly event is presented with the support of the Boosters of Old Town San Diego, a non-profit organization committed to preserving the rich history and culture of this unique historic park.
